Countdown to GTA V: Michael

Introducing the first of three protagonists – Michael

Our countdown continues and today we look at the first of our three protagonists, Michael. So who is Michael and what is his background?

Name: Michael (unknown surname), under witness protection so name may not even be Michael.

Date of Birth: 1960’s, in his mid-40’s

Background: Michael has had history with the law. So much so that in a former life he made his living from criminal activities. As a result of his prior criminal involvement he was able to make a deal with the F.I.B. (GTA’s F.B.I.) that made him and his family super rich. Being a family man is a first for the series in relation to any main protagonist. His sweet deal with the F.I.B. now means Michael lives in a massive mansion, plays golf at the local members only golf club, plays tennis in his private tennis court and drives around in super fancy sports cars.

Despite all this, Michael’s son and daughter have little time for him anymore. His wife can hardly tolerate him but she’s happy to spend all of his money. On top of running out of money he’s also extremely bored, so returning back to criminal activities seems the only logical option for Michael, and one that he is secretly looking forward too.

During an interview with his in-game therapist he is described as having an addiction to chaos. Although while you’d think creating chaos would involve going gung-ho into different scenarios, Michael’s skills actually include stealth and accuracy when shooting. It goes without saying that Michael is definitely going to be one fun character to play as!

Special Ability: This wasn’t initially known, however each of the main three protagonists will each have a special ability. Michael has the ability to slow down time, similar to ‘Bullet time’ and ‘Dead Eye’ found in Rockstar’s other titles Max Payne and Red Dead Redemption respectively.

Well that gives you an introduction to Michael, one of the three main protagonists within Grand Theft Auto V. Remember to check back each weekday for another piece of GTA content to wet your appetite.
